The Journey to Maun, the tourist resort city of Botswana, was great but with its challenges as the road we were to use was full of potholes, our drive started at 4pm on Friday the 29th of November 2021 and it was going to be a 540 Kilometer long drive, now with COVID-19 infections going down and an end to the Government imposed State of emergency regulations the road was peaceful but with bad drivers always being the challenge, you have to drive your car and theirs to survive on this bad road, them overtaking in front of oncoming traffic, cruising at 180 km per hour. After driving for almost 300kms we came across dearth situation when our car almost veered off the road as we tried to avoid a dish hole in the middle of the road, i can only call them potholes when they are small.
Luckily we did not veer off the road, God's protection was on us, we arrived in Maun past midnight and had to search for our host's home which took us an hour of going round and round as she was failing to direct us to her place, this was the home of Thelma our secretary in that region.
The following day saw us host a very successful workshop on financial literacy which we expect to bring much success into our work.
